Christmas in September

The quickest and easiest way to get new stuff is to buy it yourself - no need to wait until a birthday or holiday. I discovered this today. With Melissa moved out, our house is now devoid of several necessary objects - the most pressing being the DVD player. In addition, Amy will soon be getting all sorts of new household stuff at upcoming bridal showers (congrats to the newly engaged Amy and Andy!), and is therefore is naturally not going to buy these items for herself. So Target was my friend today and helped keep our house stocked with the necessities. Not only did I buy a new DVD player, but also a floor lamp, cookie sheets and muffin tins, and - best of all - a new knife set! Target rocks because I got all this stuff for about $100. It may not be the best quality stuff, but it will serve its purpose.
