Fun Weekend

My parents spent the weekend in Detroit, and we had a great time! Some highlights include:

• Crossing (under) the Detroit river and checking out Windsor, Canada.
• Buying coffee at Tim Horton's in Windsor and forgetting that we would be getting Canadian money back as change. Fortunately the currency exchange place was open!
• Not finding Jimmy Hoffa's body underneath the jungle in the backyard. (Although that would have been cool!)
• Being able to order something expensive off the menu at the Detroit Beer Company 'cuz my meal was free 'cuz it was my birthday in June.
• Watching the Tigers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 7-6 in the 10th inning!
• Making friends with the annoying man in the seat next to Dad at the ball game. :-)
• Watching the fireworks after the game.
• Having a cup with someone's tobacco spit spill on my foot. (So gross!)
• Worshipping at First Spanish together on Sunday.

All in all it was a great weekend, and proves there is always something fun to do in Detroit!
