It's been a while since I've updated you all on my fabulously exciting life. Perhaps it's the lack of excitement that keeps me from posting. Things are hummin' along. There's still a lot of homeless people in Detroit, but we're working hard to address the problem!
I am very ready for spring - if for no other reason than so I can start wearing different clothes. Today was one of those days where I was just so tired of my winter clothes. I dug out a cardigan I haven't worn in quite some time, thinking it would make me feel better, just because it was something "different" to wear. I realized by about 10:30 this morning why I don't wear it...it's kind of ugly and not very flattering. Clinton and Stacy would never approve. That's one for the give-away box!
I do have the opportunity for travel in a few weeks...to Portland, Oregon for a work conference. I'm not too excited about the conference itself, but going to Oregon should be fun. This will mean I've been from Portland (Maine) to Portland (Oregon)! That's kind of neat.
I also realized tonight how much I love paperbackswap.com. I've been able to acquire 5 of the 7 Harry Potter books from this site - all for free! I had to buy book 7 last summer on my vacation, and so now just need book 6. I've wanted these books just to have them, and now I've been able to get almost all of them for nothing. Awesome!
