Right now, I'm watching the Tigers. I never really followed baseball before the last few weeks. First the Pistons, now the Tigers. I must admit, I really only get onboard with following the home team when they're doing good, unlike some friends of mine (Jay) who has been an avid Tigers and Lions fan his whole life. Maybe someday the Lions will be good too, although I doubt that now that they got rid of Joey Harrington.
I'm in a "lull" with my big work project. Things may change after tomorrow, but if everything goes the way I hope I'll be heading to the frozen north of Gaylord this weekend for a good time of assin' it up and eating the turkey that is currently thawing in Lisa's new, non-black-mold fridge.
Books I'm currently reading: "Desiring God" by John Piper. Awesome. Read it.
and "The Last of the Mohicans" by James Fenimore Cooper. Different than the movie. Better. One of the oldest American novels - first published in 1826.
I could be watching the Granholm-DeVos debate now, but considering I've already made my mind up on who I'm voting for, am stickin' with the Tigers.

I am out of the loop on Michigan politics and just found out recently from my mom that DeVos was running. I don't know anything about him besides some obvious assumptions. Are you confident in your candidate choice? Care to expound?
The two candidates in Illinois are pretty much a joke. All they do is talk about how much the other person doesn't deserve to be governor. People are really irritated because they both seem terrible, even the incumbant. Almost - but not quite - as bad as the Engler vs. Fieger election a few years back. I think I chose "other" for that one.
Though the Lions are losing right now...they are doing a lot better on offense since they got rid of Joey Harrington...I'm sure you care tons about this.
I don't know who Joey Harrington is...but would you care to explain what "assin' it up" means? :o)
Kate - Joey Harrington is a former Lions QB who everyone ripped on for not being very good. I like him because he's cute and seems to be just a very nice guy. I also had a dream once that he and I were married and I had his son.
That's hilarious! You can marry Joey if you want, even if he sucks at football. (it's football, right?)
