A Touch of Home

Thanks to a great deal of help from my mom - with her wicked awesome sewing skills - I now have new curtains in the dining nook of my apartment. They really make the little space look a lot cuter and "homier". Here are the before and after:

You can't really tell from the pictures, but we did keep the blinds - they're just pulled all the way open. This way, if we want to, we can still lower the blinds for complete privacy. And we hung them using tension rods and sticky hooks for the tie-backs, so there was no drilling and they went up in about a minute. I love the curtains.
