Michigan lovin'

I love Northern Michigan. I'm pretty sure it's one of the best places to vacation during the summer. That's why I'm grateful that my friend Lisa's parents open up their home to us every summer and allow 7 adults and an ever-growing number of kids to invade their peaceful piece of woods each year over the 4th of July. This year, like years' past, was full of fun, relaxing, laughing, food, books, and games. Some pics from the week:

Jesse was super excited to have a chippy eat out his hand!

Sam and Jackson. I think Jackson has the best smile. We all got a laugh out of Sam's shirt...although admittedly it did take Andrea explaining it to some of us (me) to get how hilarious it is.

"Princess" Sydney with her crown and notebook.

And...making her Big Pine Lodge debut...Charlotte! She spent most of her time eating, sleeping, crying, and pooping, but we loved cuddling her nonetheless! Minus the times she was crying, which started about 2.5 seconds after I took this picture.

We enjoyed lunch at a park one day.

Unfortunately, Karen was not able to break her s'mores record. Maybe next year.

And what's BPL without a big breakfast? No fun, we say. Although we are now getting to the point where the kids need to be included in the planning for how much bacon to purchase. We'll have to go with 3 pounds next year.

I am so ridiculously blessed to have this group of friends! I love seeing how our group has grown over the years...and am eager to see what new faces may be in this picture next year!
