Rabbit Trails

Tonight Martha and I were chatting as she baked chocolate-chip cookies (they have flax in them, so they're good for us). Our conversation went from the highest paid actors in Hollywood to Leonardo DeCaprio to the movie "Blood Diamond" to diamond engagement rings (how's that for a rabbit trail?). This lead us to look at engagement rings on-line, picking out the ones we like. But you can't have a ring without a dress, so the next stop was looking at wedding dresses on-line. Okay, crazy I know. But it was fun. In the midst of our silliness, I realized that if there is a benefit to not getting married right out of college it's that if I get married when I'm in my 30's, hopefully the man I'm marrying somewhat established in his career (not that he has to be rich) and not be as penniless as many recent college grads are. Sounds good to me!

What a great idea, putting flax in a chocolate recipe to make it good for you. What fun you and Martha have together. Love, Mom
