I'm hooked...

on a new series of books. It's called "The Zion Covenant", by Brock and Bodie Thoene. I'm only on the first one in the 6-book series, and can hardly put it down! It's set in Europe at the start of WWII, when Hitler is just coming to power (the later books progress all throughout WWII). It's sooo good - it's the kind of book that has made me laugh, cry, cheer for the underdog, roll my eyes a bit at the sappy romance, and sit back in shock at the reality of what happened during the Holocaust. I highly recommend this series (and am glad I have a roomie who has all 6 books!).

Update: Last night (Sunday) I finished the first book in this series. I pretty much weeped through the last chapter. Not just a tear or two...weeping. It was pathetic! I realized that one of the things I love about being single and not having kids is that I can spend 3 or 4 hours on a Sunday afternoon doing nothing but indulging in a good book.
