On The Road...

Here's a shout-out to Miss Greyback's homestate, the lovely "Land of 10,000 Lakes". I'm in Minneapolis for a conference for work. The conference has been pretty good, although it started on a Sunday afternoon, which I think is just wrong. Highlights include:

  • Flying first-class from Chicago to Minneapolis. It was my first (and likely only) time in first class. Perks of first class: larger seats, having the flight attendant offer to hang my jacket, being offered a little plastic cup of water while the other passengers were still boarding, having my Diet Pepsi served to me in a "glass" glass, and getting a *free* tiny bag of potato chips to go with said Diet Pepsi. Yep, first class rocks!
  • Staying at the Hilton. This is a super-nice hotel, and I seriously would consider stealing the pillows off the bed if I had room in my suitcase. They're soooo comfortable!
  • Downtown Minneapolis. If only downtown Detroit were as great as this. **Sigh**
