Lunchtime Larceny

Last night I had dinner with friends for the first time at this great BBQ place in Detroit called "Slow's". One of my side dishes was macaroni and cheese. This was awesome mac-n-cheese. It was shell-shaped, came baked in its own little casserole dish, and was nice and cheesy and greasy. I couldn't eat it all, and took the rest home figuring it would be good for lunch today.

So for my lunch today I pack up the leftover mac-n-cheese (in its restaurant-issued Styrofoam container), a can of Pepsi, and a couple of other things. This wouldn't all fit in my normal lunch tote, so I improvised by using a plastic Meijer bag.

Well, I ended up going out for lunch today with some co-workers. At the end of the day, I went to the refrigerator in the break room, expecting to retrieve my packed lunch and enjoy it tonight for dinner. But my lunch was (partly) gone! My Meijer bag was there - with the peaches and pudding cup I had also packed - but the mac-n-cheese and Pepsi where gone! Seriously, who rifles through what is obviously someone else's lunch bag, and eats their leftovers?! Not only am I upset, but also a little grossed out! Unbelievable!

This totally happened at my workplace for about a year; one time someone stole cut up fresh fruit from the pregnant lady's lunch!

I'm sorry Amanda. I didn't know that the Man n Cheese was yours. It was really good though.
