We were lucky to have a bunch of fresh flowers in our house for the party - tulips, baby iris, and hyacinth. Plus, the daffodils in our front lawn are out in all their glory. This made me wonder, what is the purpose of flowers looking and smelling so nice? Why did God make them so beautiful and enjoyable? He could have not made flowers at all, or just made something ugly. I think flowers point to the pure extravegance of God's love for us. While I'm sure it's true that the color or smell attracts the bees, which pollinate other flowers, etc., God could have designed the bees to be attracted to ugly plants and not made pretty plants at all. But He didn't design it that way. He gave us this beauty for our pure enjoyement. How cool is that?
(Here's a shout out to the Holland Tulip Festival. Talk about beautiful flowers!)

The fresh flowers were amazing! That was a good call, I mean, some were gifts, but you bought the white tulips right?
I love flowers. And God's all like "if I take care of the flowers and dress the flowers so beautifully, how can you doubt that I will take care of you?" OOO- that's good. *going off to think aobut that for a minute*
