Gentleman Construction Worker
An experience today proved to me that chivalry is not dead. There was a construction crew tearing up the sidewalk in front of the building in which I work. As I was walking up to it this morning I wondered in the back of my head if any of the men working there would make some kind of comment to me. Let's admit it, construction workers have a reputation for making inappropriate comments to women as they walk by. As I walked by I could kind of hear one of the guys shouting something to another guy, but couldn't understand what he was saying because a machine was making too much noise. I guess this guy had said something profane, because as soon as he saw me walking by, he said "Sorry - excuse my language" (I did hear that!). Wow! It's not too often nowadays that men watch their language around woman, and that's too bad. It's great being a girl!

*yay* for considerate construction workers
Hey Amanda, it's Stephanie. I keep finding more college friends through the blogspot network. And I thought livejournal was where it's at! I'm adding you to a new blog folder I made. It's a slooooow day in the office.
That's a funny story about the construction workers too. :)
