Earlier this week I went to the eye doctor. When he introduced himself to me, he said "Sternberg - that's a Jewish name. Are you Jewish?" He was notably Jewish, by virtue of the yarmulke he was wearing. I indicated that I wasn't, to my knowledge at least. This is not the first time someone has asked me if I'm Jewish.
Then in today in the mail I get a free book by a man named Sid Roth called "Ten Amazing Jews: They Thought for Themselves". The note included with the book said that "The Atlanta Jewish Times endorses this book to be read by all their Jewish readers". (And I was hoping when I opened it that it was the R.C. Sproul book I had just ordered.)
Not quite sure how I ended up on the mailing list to receive this book, but perhaps someone else too thought "Sternberg" was a Jewish name.
This is very strange.

I used to get African American book club offers all the time. But I don't think that "Lynch" is a decidedly AA surname.
in a way I think you are - grafted in at least. :)
