Some random thoughts I thought I'd share...
- I talked to Lisa for over an hour on Friday night...just about life and stuff. It was a good talk. It's been a while since she and I had had a good, long phone convo and it was great to be able to do so - all while Sydney stayed relatively happy in the background!
- I buy a package of Oreos about 3 times a year - whenever they have their special seasonal Oreos. I bought the "spring" Oreos on Saturday, the ones with the yellow filling. After these are gone, I'll have to wait until the "autumn" Oreos come out, the ones with the orange filling. After that I think it's the holiday ones with red filling. I figure if I limit myself to the seasonal Oreos, I can satisfy my love for the little buggers without doing too much damage to my waistline.
- I watched two movies this weekend: "Waitress" and "Anne of Avonlea". "Waitress" gets an okay rating. "Anne" needs no rating, for it stands on its own.
- I finished knitting my first baby cap this weekend. I need to accept the fact that I may never get baby caps right. Unless my friends have babies with misshapen heads (which I would never want to happen) the caps I make just don't cut it.
- President's Day seems like a strange day to celebrate...but I had the day off, so I'm not complaining too loudly.
- I have to take a social work licensure exam in April. I've pulled out my old textbooks to being studying, and am having flash-backs to all those great (or not so great) classes I took several years ago.
- I'm trying to read the book "Ben Hur". I'm about a third of the way into it, and am having a hard time being motivated to read it. I may just need to accept the fact that I don't really want to finish it and just watch the movie instead.
- I took care of Zumaya this weekend (the cat, not the baseball player) and realized that I prefer cleaning litter boxes to changing a baby's diaper. Okay, gross observation I know.

Random thoughts notes:
I LOVED talking to you too! It is so nice to get calls as I can usually talk for a while but the idea to call other people doesn't usually pop into my head - Sydney, house work, or relaxing all tend to take up my brain power so when I get a great call like yours it is such a joy!
I love oreos, I can't bring myself to buy the, - too bad we don't live near each other and we could share the calories and the price!
Sydneys head is a little mishapen - there are strange right angles here and there. It is rather funny and probably a good thing she has so much hair.
I love presidents day for the reason that it makes me think of Abe Lincoln which I lovingly refer to as A Blinkin and laugh at myself as I say it outloud over and over again...I do this on NON presidents day days as well, but to have a day where I can celebrate the funny name is just plain great.
Way to go, you started to study!
I am like you, I have a hard time letting myself give up on books, but some times you just have to ditch the book...
Too bad babies don't use litter boxes.
I feel your pain as to the hat. I tried to make one for Isaac..first one fit Dad...second one, well I sent it to him, they can use it on a snowman. Mom
You know you can buy baby hats...
save yourselves some grief!!!
(not that I am not grateful for the ones you have made for my kidos, ofcourse!)
